Mastiff’s are large loving dogs which have a gentle, loving nature that makes the the perfect “gentle giant”. Mastiff’s are an obedient dog which have a serene intelligence which makes them almost subdued.

What are Mastiff’s like to live with?

Mastiff’s very rarely make a noise. When you arrive home from work you are quite likely going to find your dog stretched out on the lounge or the bed with their head lifting slightly to greet you.

Although Mastiff’s have a quiet side, they have been used as guard dogs for thousands of years. The thing is though, just the sheer size of a Mastiff is more likely to scare of an intruder more than their actual aggressiveness.

What are the different types of Mastiffs?

The French Mastiff – Dogue de Bordeaux

Neopolitan Mastiff

Bullmastiff – Probably the most well known one

Tibetan Mastiff

Spanish Mastiff

and the Pyrenean Mastiff
